Digital playground.

Last night I went out to shoot just in time to see the clouds come in and the golden light turn grey. Here's a couple shots anyways that I played with in Camera RAW and thought they were kinda cool.

All girls trip

After a 3 week stint at home in San Diego, I found myself back on the road with a group of 5 of the best woman surfers this planet has to offer. We were fortunate enough to fly into a week of waves (which is rare when the trip is booked months in advance), but we got lucky and had some great sessions. The girls absolutely ripped the place to shreds. Outside of the water the conversations ranged anywhere from graduating high school, Beyonce, Gossip Girl, and a number of other new shows that I had never heard of. But in all seriousness, I was blown away at the performance that these girls were showing in the water, not to mention they were all cool as shit to hang with. Look for our story along with some video clips to be featured in an upcoming issue of Surfer Magazine. I owe a HUGE thank you to Janna for choosing me to shoot the trip.

Mustaches and Music

Donovan Frankenreiter played a free show last night to a packed crowd at Pillbox Beach to finish up Solana Beachs annual Fiesta del Sol. As the street vendors began to close up shop and local artists put there pieces away Donovan took the stage for the last hour of light as the crowded moved and swayed to a number of his new hits and older classics. The crowd was filled with fake "Dono stashed" groms and old folks alike. One of the highlights of the performance was when a little girl who looked to be about 5 got on stage and sang the words to "It Don't Matter" alongside the band. The crowd went wild. Stayed tuned to www.donavonf.com as he has a couple of secret performances somehwere in Southern California that you may just be able to get into to if you play your cards right...

The Rum Diaries

Last February I did a trip with the Billabong crew down to Barbados to shoot photos while they filmed for their new surf film titled "Still Filthy." The article was published about a month ago in Surfer magazine, but now for your viewing pleasure you can check it out online too!
